— Robert Irwin
some things I highlighted from today’s reading of seeing is forgetting the name of the thing one sees: over thirty years of conversations with Robert Irwin
"So I finally never put them in the world."
"Instead I ended up throwing a hammer at them from across the room and shattering them to smithereens."
"But I kind of liked those."
(^those three were in reference to the same subject)
"Bob paused, tapped his fingers on the table, and took a swig of Coke."
I’ve been working on reading this book for several months now. I’m not a very consistent reader so I tend to only read a little bit at a time and will go weeks or months between each reading. I’m trying to get better at that though.
I’d really like to turn my road trip photos into a sellable art book. if there is anyone that could help me make that a reality, please get in touch. but also, even if you just want to help motivate me to scan photos or give me feedback/help me make edits, get in touch as well!
states/provinces I’ve visited, US and Canada
Anonymous asked: Hello, Ace. Out of curiosity, what camera(s) do you own? On top of that, I'd like to mention that I do admire your photos
Hey thanks. I have a lot of different cameras that I’ve acquired over the years and kind of rotate through I guess. But if you’d like a full list:
Canon 5D mk2
Canon EOS 3
I have a couple other random 35mm point and shoot cameras (like a canon underwater one that I’ve never used) but that list above is what I actually use now/have used throughout the past several years.
..but I mostly take photos with my iphone
Blood Orange - Cupid Deluxe (full album stream)
*this album was a good soundtrack to my walk this morning
